Is the venue accessible?
Yes! Pinch Bakery & Plant Shop is a main-floor accessible venue with accessible washrooms and on a public transit route. It’s a queer-owned business, and everyone is welcome. If you have further questions or accessibility requirements, please reach out!
What bus should I take?
Pinch is a very short walk south from Barton Street East where it’s crossed by Sherman Avenue North. Route 2 Barton stops the closest, routes 3 Cannon and 1 King have stops fairly close to Pinch (about a 7 minute of walk). Do I have to live in Ward 3 to participate?
No! This club is open to everyone. We appreciate the support of the Ward 3 Community Resilience Grant, but welcome everyone from across the city.
Do I have to buy the book?
No! Books will be available for sale at both Epic Books locations for 15% all month, but you do not need to buy the book to attend. If you would like to own a copy of the book but face financial barriers, please reach out! If you would like to borrow a copy of the book, please reach out.
Do I have to finish the book?
If you don’t have time to finish the whole book, come out to find out about what you missed! We hope the majority of people at book club will have gotten through the book we’re discussing, but life happens. If you’ve read part of the book, come out to discuss what you thought about that part.
Do I have to buy something from Pinch?
No! Pinch is usually closed when we meet, we’re the only ones in the space. Pinch has generously donated delicious treats and tea and coffee, there’s nothing to buy when you attend.
